Poncho

Since no one in my family ever checks this blog, I feel fairly certain that I can safely post the following pictures. This is a poncho I made for my three-year-old niece for Christmas, from a pattern I got here, using Lion Brand Color Waves yarn. It's supposed to fit a 3- to 7-year-old, so with any luck the child won't be swimming in it too badly. I'm just about done with one for my other niece, the one-year-old, so I'll post photos when that's done. It's super warm and cozy ... almost makes me want to make one for myself.

Thanks! This is the first time I've used the Color Waves. It's a pain when you first start using it -- you can't see the stitches AT ALL -- but once you get used to crocheting by feel, it goes pretty quickly. It's a yummy yarn. I'm sorry they don't sell it in the UK!!

It's gorgeous! I just bought some LB Color Waves in a gorgeous red. So far I've made a chicken from it. LOL

M - As a knitter (crochet just doesn't work for me - what is supposed to be a square turns into a triangle every time...) I'll have to figure out how to make that in knit. Soo cute - my niece (5 years) would love it.
